FRAM review - Defective Oil Filter
On 8 January 2017, I purchased a new FRAM TG7317 oil filter and 5 quarts of oil from Walmart for my wife's 2012 Honda CRV. (See Walmart receipt photo, ID#: 7KZFQ0DPLCZ) After draining the old oil and removing the old oil filter, I screwed on the newly purchased FRAM...

I had the exact problem! I examined the filter and the only solution was warped center section where it is threaded.

I compared it to an FL1A.-, which is the Ford equivalent. I had the Ph8a.

The center section was higher so the filter would not be tightened as the FL1a. Also my first bad Fram after years using them.

Man that is horrible! I don't have a car any more, but I know a lot that do. I will pass this on, believe me. One time in Florida I couldn't get my car fixed at this one place, so I was on Hwy. 50 going back to Orlando and all of a sudden, my car made noises and quit....

Purchased this Fram oil filter to do an oil change on my 2008 Ford F-450 Superduty 6.4L. The Fram model# CH9549 I purchased came with a O-ring and a small round plastic piece with 4 wings, and an confusing as *** instruction manual that showed two examples of what I...

FRAM review in Raleigh, North Carolina: Husband bought a filter at Autozone

My husband asked me to submit a rebate request. He pointed out all the necessary items required to make sure I didn't overlook anything, besides I've done this before. Well, to my shock, I received a postcard informing me that I didn't send the receipt, a copy or original. What a bunch of crock! Liars! Liars! Liars!Liars! Liars! Liars! Liars! Liars! I had to write this word so often because this site wants 100 words. Go figure. How can people work in this office and sleep at night! It's a wonder! The amount spent was small but the idea of unfair or fraudulent practices is what ticked me off!

Fram Cabin air filters

I bought a Fram Cabin air filter for a GM car from O'Reilly Auto Parts. On the instructions inside the box is written "Hecho in China" (Spanish for Made in China). I believe the box which I no longer have said made in Mexico. I don't have a Geiger Counter to check for radioactivity, or other meters to check for heavy metals, or toxic organic compounds. You may recall all the recalls of Chinese made products (pet food, toys, etc.) in recent years, and I don't think the Consumer Product Safety Commission is checking items like cabin air filters, unfortunatley.
